I feel the greatest honour to support families with sleep. It is literally something that makes my heart sing! My greatest joy is enabling parents to worry less, stress less and feel empowered to have calm confidence when it comes to sleep. I pinch myself all the time that I get to serve families this way. If you have been recommended to Baby of Mine through the name Glynis Howard and wondering where she is, I’d love to share that information with you here in the FAQ's.
When I look at all the experiences and roads I have walked I can see that everything in my life has prepared me for helping parents with sleep. I’m a Mama to two children, Isabelle (6 or 6 and a half if you ask her!) and Jack (nearly 3) and together with my husband we call the Northern Beaches of New South Wales, Australia, home.
My own entry into motherhood was very rocky. Traumatic birth ending in emergency c-section. Struggles with feeding. Baby losing weight. Post Natal Anxiety. Totally confused and stressed by all the differing views from support people and information available. Frankly I felt like a total failure. Becoming of two threw me down the hole of Post Natal Anxiety again which was a bit of a kick in the pants. Again so much learning through the process. I also have three big gashes on my heart for the three pregnancies that I lost.
I find that each of these experiences have made my arms wider to wrap around other mums and dads; not in a ‘I’m better than you’ way rather ‘oh, I feel you, let me be here with you’ way.
I personally understand how the joy can be robbed from these precious times with our little ones when we feel so much stress about sleep. I love to help as I know first-hand what a difference it can make as a parent to understand sleep and to know how to meet the sleep needs of our little ones.
I'm a certified Holistic Sleep Coach (OCN Level 6) through the Holistic Sleep Coaching Program in the UK, the most comprehensive sleep coaching program available internationally. Trained by over 25 world-renowned experts with a focus on evidence and research-based knowledge. I am a bit of a geek when it comes to understanding sleep and all things parenting. I’m always buried in a new book or research paper (just ask my husband!).
I have a passion for supporting parents struggling with mental health, have an interest in sensitive children and am a gentle-parenting advocate.
My motto is ‘always love’ and I would be honoured to support you and your family. X
